Hatim, Shah of Yemem, was known for his generosity and noble deeds. One day as he was distributing alms to the poor, SHAITAN in disguise of an old Fakir asked for a boon. Hatim promised to fulfill his wishes and Shaitan demanded his crown. Hatim gave away his crown to the Shaitan and left the country. On the way he rescued Princess GULNAR of Falakabad from the clutches of Halukadev. The Shah of Falakabad in return bestowed Princess GULNAR in marriage to Hatim and made him the king of Falakabad. When Shaitan learned of the success he through another ruse also demanded the crown of Falakabad and Hatim smilingly gave it away. With Gulnar his wife, he went ahead. Meeting Munirshami under strange circumstances he promised Munirshami help. Munirshami went to win Hushnabanoo, the princess of Shahabad and was himself vanquished and imprisoned. He sent his messenger to Hatim for help. Hatim came to his rescue and at the risk of his life he solved the seven questions of Hushnabanoo and got Munirshami released.
